Creating Customer Segments

Step-by-Step Customer segment creation.

Sending a generic campaign is the most commonly used form of communication when a store/restaurant/business wants to broadcast a message to its entire customer base. This helps in providing necessary information about the business to people, such as changes in policies or functioning, like changes in business hours or tax policies. It can also be used to spread promotional messages, such as an upcoming festive sale or the inclusion of new products and items in the business.

To send a Campaign, click on Marketing followed by Campaigns to open the Campaigns menu.

Click on Create

Choose how you want to approach your audience, either by text/SMS, email, or both. Select "Generic Campaign" in the Type of Campaign selection. Click on Next once select.

Note: You need to set the billing plan/SMS plan and your card details for sending the campaign through SMS. See billing details for more information on it.

Fill in the fields according to the information provided below. Once complete, click Next.

Campaign Fields: Name*: Select a name for your campaign, such as β€œChristmas Sale”. Schedule*: Select if you want to send the Campaign right away or schedule it for a later date. * = Required

You can now either create an entirely new Email from scratch by clicking Create A New Email From Scratch or select a design from the template and use that to make future modifications. Select a template from the template selection on the left and click Use and Edit This Template to use the selected template. Click Next if required.

Fill in the Field according to the Information given below. Make the necessary changes to the email according to your preference. You can either send a test Email to your preferred Email address to check how it will look reaching the customer, or click on Next to move on.

Design Fields: Subject*: Give your Email a subject, something relevant to the theme of the Email such as β€œChristmas is Coming Soon!” in this case. * = Required

You can either Select to send this Campaign to all of your customers\Users or decide to send it to a specific Segment. To know more about Segments and Segment Creation, click the link below.

Fill in the Required fields according to the Information given below.

Audience Identity Fields: Audience Type*: Select the targeted group of the Campaign, it can either be all of the users or can be specific segments of them. Select Segments*: Select the Segment to whom this campaign is to be sent. ( it is only applicable if you selected Select Segment in Audience type.) * = Required

Review the Details entered and click on Submit to send the campaign.
