Creating Coupons

Creating a coupon is one of the most effective strategies to engage with your customers and build strong customer loyalty. By offering your customers a discount or special promotion, you can incentivize them to make a purchase or try out your products or services.

Additionally, coupons can be a great way to introduce new customers to your business and encourage repeat business from existing customers. By designing eye-catching coupons with compelling offers, you can increase brand awareness and drive sales.

Overall, creating coupons can be a powerful tool for businesses looking to increase customer engagement and build lasting relationships with their audience.

 

To create a coupon, first open the coupons menu from the dashboard by clicking on Marketing, followed by Coupons.

Click on Create Button.

You will see the coupon creation form. Fill out based on the fields guide below.

Form Fields for Order Coupon Type: Name*: Name of the coupon. For example, $25 Off on the entire order. Coupon Type*: There are 2 types of coupons: a) product-specific coupons, used for coupons on specific items, and products b) order-specific coupons, used for the entire order. Discount Drop Down*: Select Yes if you are trying to create a repeatable discount that can be applied to orders from the cash register. For Example, Employee Discounts, Senior Discounts, etc. This coupon will show under the pre-defined coupons section in the order discount screen of the cash register. Audience Type*: There can be two types of audience, targeted stands for a specific application and need, and the Generic one is a time-specific coupon. Discount Type*: You can decide to give out the discount in either percentage form or in amount. Discount Value*: The amount of discount you want to give, either in percentage terms or dollar amount. Minimum Amount*: The minimum order amount required for the coupon to be used. *: Required

Coupon Type*: There are 2 types of coupons: a) product-specific coupons, used for coupons on specific items, and products b) order-specific coupons, used for the entire order. Discount Drop Down*: Select yes if you are trying to create a repeatable discount that can be applied to orders from the cash register. For Example, Employee Discounts, Senior Discounts, etc. This coupon will show as a refined coupon in the order discount section of the cash register. Audience Type*: There can be two types of audience, targeted stands for a specific application and need, and the Generic one is a time-specific coupon. Discount Type*: You can decide to give out the discount in either percentage form, or in amount. Discount Value*: The amount of discount you want to give, either in percentage terms or in dollar amount. Location*: The Location where you want this coupon to be used. Useful if you have multiple store locations and they have different coupons. Minimum Amount*: The lowest amount required for the coupon to be used. *: Required
 

Click on Next followed by Submit to create the coupon.
