Creating promotions is one of the best ways to add offers and deals to the system. This helps attract a large number of customers and incentivizes them to make purchases of those products. We offer multiple ways of providing offers and deals, which makes it a very dynamic and adaptive system that works according to your needs.
To Create a Promotion go to the OctoRetail BackOffice and click on Products followed by Promotions
Once in the Promotion Menu, Click on Create to start creating a promotions.
Fill in the required fields for creating a new promotion according to the details provided below, once all the required fields are filled, click Next to move ahead.
Name*: Enter a name for the promotions, such as B1G1 or Buy 3 Get 2 Free.
Promotions type*: There are a total of 3 types of promotions that can be ran in our app. 1) Buy X Get 1 Free, Which means that you can buy X number of products and get 1 free on top.2) Buy X at Y Price, This means that if you were to buy a certain quantity then the price would be at a level you set.3) Sale Price X on Product Y, This means that as product is sold at a lesser price without any conditions.
Valid Until*: Write in the Date till which you want this Promotions to be running.
Select Location*: Select where you want to run this promotion.
* = Required From here on It depends on which type of Promotion you decided to Go ahead. We will Begin with 1) Buy X Get 1 Free, followed by Buy X at Y Price, and at the end Sale Price X on Product y.
1) Buy X Get 1 Free.
Once your on the Promotion Details Page fill in the details according to the fields information given below. This offer Lets you give 1 of the selected product for free when they buy X number of Products form the selected ones. Click on Add Product to add your products from product list .Click Next once the Fields are filled and products are added
Buy Quantity*: Enter the quantity needed to purchase to receive 1 free unit. This quantity is represented by X in the Formula.
* = Required 2) Buy X at Y Price
This Promotional type lets you sell the same product for different price levels depending on the quantity. This is usually used where Stores want to clear a huge Stock and wants to promote Mass sale of that specific good\Item. Click on Add Product to add your product(only One). Click on Add Levels to add a new price point for a new price. Fill all the required details according to the information given below and click on Next .
Quantity*: Enter the quantity needed to purchase to get the Promotion Price at that quantity level.
Promotion Price*: Enter the promotional price that you want to apply when buying a specific quantity. As you can see in the example, you can have multiple levels of quantities.
* = Required 3)Sale Price X on Product Y
This Promotional type lets you sale a good Y for a lower price of X due to the promotion. This is one of the most simple Promotion types and needs no conditions to be made to apply it. Fill the Required Details in the fields after adding the products and Click Next.
Promotion Sale Price*: Enter the promotional price that you want Sell the product for.
* = Required Review the Details in the next page and click Submit to start the promotions.
